Legendary Los Angeles street artist Buff Monster returns for his second show, with a  solo exhibition at the Corey helford Gallery in California this month, from Saturday, August 23 until September 2, 2008.

Inspired by Japanese fine art, pop culture, and anime, Buff Monster's works feature a kaleidoscope of geometric patterns, kaiju-inspired characters, and kanji translations.

Pictoplasma NYC is a festival of contemporary character design and art. The festival runs from September 4-6, 2008, and is a great opportunity to experience a unique project which helps bring cartoon imagery to life.

The project developed way back in 1999 in Berlin, and now for the first time, this exciting project makes it's way to the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts, Manhatten, NYC.

Following on from the very successful MIMOBOT design contest, our friends at Mimoco are calling out for content to the aspiring artistic community with their VDC MIMOBOT Content Creation Contest.

If you've got some cool digital footage, imagery or sounds, simply send it to the crew @ Mimoco, and they'll pick out their favorites, to be immortalized as content on the upcoming VDC MIMOBOT Series.

There's a lot of excitement over the latest offering from Mimoco, with the release of the Modman Mimobot by the ledgendary artist and illustrator Gary Baseman.

Baseman's style is unmistakeable, and this Mimobot is no exception. Modman is a twisted yet totally cute design, which captures the artist's unique sense of aesthetics.

While we are on the subject of Erick Scarecrow, he has released his offering from the Vader Project show in Tokyo that happened about 2 weeks ago.

Erick named his Vader "I'm going up" and said the inspiration behind it was doing something more fun to show another side of his art.

TADO are having an exhbition at Magic Pony in Toronto, Canada entitiled "Lily the Littlest Cannibal" coinciding with their upcoming toy release.

This exhibiton will include works by TADO with lots of different working techniques including paint and wood - which TADO have been wanting to do for a long time!

This Saturday, AUG 9th, is a group art show at Red Hot Robot in Phoenix featuring the art of Scott Tolleson, Greg and Gary Ham.
