After visiting the SupaNova expo the other weekend, I made one very clear judgement. I don't have much Anime or Manga in my life. I bought the latest edition of Total Anime issue 3 (The Ultimate Guide to Japanese Animation) today and with it came the urge to pick up a ninja sword. Yes, so it's not the freshest mag on the shelf, but Damn, it's a good one.

The Total Anime magazine is a bi-annually produced magazine, from Australia, by Derwent Howard publishing, and it's jam packed with quality content, and tonnes of pics. In the spotlight is Death Note (the immensely popular dark anime cult film), Afro Samurai (starring Samuel Jackson) among others.

The writeup of Death Note is awesome.

There's also a great writeup on the House of Miyazaki, best know for the awesome character TOTORO.

I guess the main reason for this quick writup was mainly to kick my own @r$e for beiong a little bit naive to the wonderful world of Anime. I'll do a writeup of the next issue (I promise to get it on the day of it's release =), and would love to hear from any Anime/manga fans who wanna blog some.
Happy reading!

The House of Miyazaki article looks cool. I've been there when I was in Japan. It is amazing. So much awesome stuff to see...
