So what are infographics?
Information graphics or infographics are visual representations of information, data or knowledge. These graphics are used anywhere where complex information needs to be explained quickly and clearly, such as in signs, maps, journalism, technical writing, and education. They are also used extensively as tools by computer scientists, mathematicians, and statisticians to ease the process of developing and communicating conceptual information - wikipedia
Four well-known creative studios are showcased on the dvd, as well as some other great short films, and some very funky ads. H5, Impactist, Pic Agency and Süperfad lead the way on this "exploration" into motion infographics.
Theres tonnes of other great content, including "The Art or War - in paper" which is a showcase of an exhibition currently on at Peter Ferguson's Craze Gallery in London's trendy Notting Hill. Artists were given postler fergusons paper AK-47 as a starting point (more on all that is paper in a few days...) You can also view the works over at their website www.paper-wars.com .

On the topic of infographics, I was very surprised that IA (Information Architects Japan) were not featured in this edition. These guys have been analysing web-trends for a while now, and have an amazing "2008 Web Trend Map", available for download. You really have to check this out. Totally geeky, I love it.
