How Manga Took Over the World is an Exhibition currently underway at Urbis "The City Centre" in Manchester, UK.

Running from 13 March - 27 Sept 2008, The exhibition explores Manga’s influence in shaping contemporary culture, with something for everyone, from kids to adults.
The exhibition takes into account the many varying forms, including: Cute Manga, Action Manga, Manga in art, fashion and design, Manga as communication, Erotic Manga. The Erotic Manga is restricted to over 18s only and explores why trends which are "socially acceptable in Japan" remain taboo in the UK.

There are workshops featuring drawing and writing storyboards as well as lists of competitions and conventions taking place throughout the UK, and features works (and toys) by the likes of TADO.
Whilst we are on the subject of Manga, the 2008 World Cosplay Summit is just about to kick off in Nagoya, Japan next month, but I'll follow up with that one tomorrow =)
